We don't have a spark-plug spanner. Is that ok?
A spark plug spanner is included in the tool kit as part of Module 0: Tools. If you do not have this, it is recommended to purchase a replacement from the Club Shop.
It may also be possible to use a deep fitting 21mm socket as an alternative, but this is only suggested as an emergency measure.
Can I buy more tools?
All the general tools required for the kart build are supplied in the Tool Kit, and are available in the Club Shop.
Additional tools, if desired, can be purchased online or from a hardware store, for example a hammer, drill, drill bits etc.
Do I need power tools?
Power tools are not generally required for your Kart Kit build, with the exception of a drill in order to fit your seat.
A helpful tip is to purchase an 18v impact driver, which is useful for jobs such as fitting and removing rear wheels quickly, and can also be used to sufficiently tighten your clutch nut etc.
