What to expect
Once your school has ordered its Kart Kit(s) & completed the necessary steps such as choosing your chassis and bodywork colours, delivery is scheduled automatically. This article covers how delivery timing works, how to choose your preferred week, and what your site team should expect on the day, so you're ready to receive it and can move on to Certifying Your Kit.
How delivery timing works
Your Kart Kit will be delivered a minimum of 14 days from the point of order. You can choose your preferred week of delivery in Race Academy, under 'Kart Delivery'.
Once you've selected a week, it can't be changed, so choose a week your site team can definitely receive the delivery.
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email to confirm and provide important ‘next steps’ information.
Upon dispatch, your Kart Kit will usually be delivered within 2 working days.
Choosing your delivery week
- Log in to Race Academy.
- Go to 'Kart Delivery' on your dashboard.
- Select your preferred week of delivery. Remember, this choice is final.
- Your kit will be dispatched during your chosen week, and you'll be sent tracking information once it's on its way.
Tracking your delivery
Once your kit has been dispatched, you'll be sent tracking information by email, including:
- Date Dispatched:
- Courier: Palletline
- Estimated Delivery Date: 2 working days
You'll also receive an email or SMS directly from Palletline when your kart kit reaches their local 'Hub', shortly before it's out for final delivery.
What to expect on delivery day
Your kit typically arrives on a medium/large lorry, as a large cardboard box on a pallet. Pre-warn your site team so they can plan for access, space, and manpower to receive it. Package details:
- Approx 150cm long
- Approx 70cm wide
- Approx 50cm high
- Approx 90KG (including pallet)
Inside, you'll find your kart kit separated into numbered bags, along with a hard copy of the Components List. No signature is required from your site team on delivery, but proof of delivery is obtained by the courier.
What happens next
Once your kit has arrived, unbox it and check each numbered bag against the Components List, then complete self-certification via Module 0 on Race Academy. This unlocks your modules for students.
You must submit the Self-Certification form within 4-weeks of receiving the kit or before the build begins (whichever comes first). After this, any claim of missing parts becomes void; replacements will thereafter only be available via the Club Shop.
