Paddock safety
Paddock safety is very important during event days — following STEM On Track staffing teams' directions at all times is crucial.
No unauthorised access to the circuit is permitted; please check with an official before attempting access.
Only STEM On Track staff members and paramedics are to access the circuit during race sessions (referred to as a 'live' circuit) at any time, including during medical emergencies.
Fuel and other dangerous substances should only be handled by STEM On Track staff, using designated containers.
Moving karts in the paddock:
- No engines are to be started in the paddock (unless under STEM On Track staff supervision).
- Karts are to be rolled from your awning to the assembly area.
Karts are to be rolled from Parc Fermé back to your awning.
Fire safety
Fire extinguishers will be located around the paddock in all key areas, such as the assembly area, dummy grid and Parc Fermé. There will also be fire extinguisher stations set up at both ends of the main kart paddock.
In the event of an emergency, immediately raise the alarm with a member of the STEM On Track team. General evacuation points etc will be communicated as part of the Welcome Briefings during the morning of the event day.
Additional Assistance Team
The location of the Additional Assistance Team will be communicated ahead of the event day. The team will schedule their workload on a first come, first served basis, with teams required to queue if necessary. Generally, STEM On Track staff/volunteers will direct you to the Additional Assistance Team if required.
